Kahu Thomas Nicolas Fernandez
Celebrating aloha and ʻohana on Hawaiʻi Island
Awaiāulu Ke Aloha - Love made fast
Meet Kahu Tom
Kahu Tom Fernandez has called the Island of Hawaiʻi home since 1988. Born and raised on Oʻahu, he moved to Kailua-Kona after graduating from college, where his family's roots on the Big Island span three generations. For over 22 years, Tom faithfully served as the Kahu (Minister) of Kalāhikiola Congregational Church.
As a husband, father of three, and dedicated community member, Tom is passionate about sharing the spirit of aloha through every ceremony he officiates. Whether coaching high school soccer, teaching CrossFit, performing as a Samoan fireknife dancer, or continuing his studies of ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, he has always valued building meaningful connections with others.
With experience officiating more than 1,500 weddings, as well as blessings, baptisms, and celebrations of life, Kahu Tom creates heartfelt ceremonies that honor each couple's unique story while thoughtfully incorporating the beauty and traditions of Hawaiʻi. His mission is simple: to make every ceremony personal, memorable, and filled with aloha.
